4 January 2013 – Armed Robbery – Newsagency – Highland Park

Police are investigating the attempted armed robbery of a Newsagency at Highland Park this morning.
Around 9.45am, a man armed with a knife entered the Alexander Drive business and threatened a male employee.
At this time, a second male employee has produced a wooden axe handle and swung it towards the offender, who then ran from the store.
The offender fled the scene in a small white hatchback.
No property was taken and no one was physically injured during the incident.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 185cm tall with a proportionate build. His face was covered with a bandana.
