Two men have been charged following an alleged armed robbery at a hotel in Sawtell overnight.
Shortly before 10.30pm (Monday 28 January 2013), three men allegedly forced entry to a hotel on First Avenue, armed with a machete, knife and concrete paver.
They threatened staff and took cash and other property before fleeing the premises.
N0-one was injured during the incident.
About 10.50pm, police stopped a vehicle on Toormina Road, Toormina and arrested three men and took them to Coffs Harbour Police Station.
A 21-year-old man and 22-year-old man were charged with robbery armed with an offensive weapon.
They were refused bail to appear at Coffs Harbour Local Court today (Tuesday 29 January 2013).
Police will allege that a large amount of cash was located when searching the men and the car.
The third man was released without charge.
