A woman and man have been arrested after two separate attempted robberies at Blair Athol.
Police will allege that at about 2.30pm today, a woman entered a deli on Prospect Road armed with a knife and demanded money.
When staff refused, the woman left the deli empty-handed.
About 15 minutes later, she entered a bakery also on Prospect Road and once again demanded money.
Staff at the bakery again refused to hand over any cash, and the woman ran out empty-handed to a waiting gold-coloured Holden sedan.
Patrols flooded the area, and the pair were arrested shortly after.
No one was injured during either attempted robbery.
A 34- year-old woman from Blair Athol and a 42-year-old man from Prospect have been charged with two counts of aggravated robbery.
The woman will appear in the Holden Hill Magistrates Court on Monday, and the man will appear at a later date.
