Two youths have been charged following the alleged robbery of a Buranda bottle shop last night.
About 7.15pm the male youths entered the Cornwall Street store, one of them engaging the male attendant in conversation as the other attempted to steal a carton of bourbon cans.
The youth carrying the carton fell and dropped it after being confronted by the attendant.
The youth then allegedly produced a knife and threatened the attendant before both fled on foot with the alcohol.
A 16-year-old from Calamvale and a 13-year-old from Keperra have been charged with one count each of enter premises and commit an indictable offence and robbery.
They will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
