Detectives from the South Eastern Region’s Major and Organised Crime Squad yesterday arrested a fifth man in relation to the ongoing investigations into the burglary and armed robbery of a number of businesses in south east Queensland last year.
During the offences it is alleged that ATMs were targeted while offenders were armed with high powered weapons.
The businesses targeted included the burglary of a lodge in Coomera, a Norfolk Tavern, a news agency in Robina, and the armed robbery of a Tamborine bowls club.
A 21-year-old Coomera man has been charged with burglary and armed robbery offences.
He is expected to appear before the Southport Magistrates Court this morning.
