Wellington Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery at a car rentals store in Sale over the weekend.
Police have been told a man entered the business on the corner of Macarthur and York streets about 10.05am on Saturday 16 February and approached the counter.
The man then produced a knife and made a demand for cash.
The staff member handed over a quantity of money before the offender fled on foot.
No one was injured during the incident.
The man is described as being aged on his 20s, approximately 170cm tall with a medium build.
He is perceived to be of Aboriginal appearance.
The offender was wearing a black shirt, black jeans, white runners with bright red shoe laces, a camouflage coloured baseball cap and dark sunglasses.
