Police  have arrested two men for a series of aggravated robberies  on businesses in Adelaide’s northern and western suburbs in January and  February.

Detectives from Operation Counteract today arrested a 28-year-old man from  Gawler West and a 21-year-old man of no fixed address and charged each with 11  counts of aggravated robbery.

Police will allege the pair committed the series of aggravated robberies  on business premises at Gawler, Angle Vale, Two Wells, Craigmore, Salisbury,  Woodville and Ridleyton between 11 January 2013 and 11 February 2013.

The pair allegedly used knives and a stick to threaten staff in the  businesses in order to obtain cash and cigarettes.

The men were refused bail. They will appear in Court this afternoon: the  28-year-old in Elizabeth Court and the 21-year-old in Adelaide
