A teenager has been charged over the armed robbery of a central Sydney massage parlour last month.

The 17-year-old boy was arrested by police at Royal North Shore Hospital last night (Sunday 3 March 2013).

He was taken to The Rocks Police Station and charged with robbery with an offensive weapon before being refused bail to appear in Bidura Children’s Court today (Monday 4 March 2013).

It will be alleged the teenager entered the business in Carrington Street, Sydney, about 1.30pm on Monday 4 February 2013 and threatened staff with a machete.

He then allegedly stole cash from a safe and fled the scene.
