Police are appealing for witnesses after a man armed with a sword stole cash from a Preston service station in the early hours of this morning.
Investigators have been told the offender entered the Plenty Road service station about 1.10am.
The man demanded cash from a male staff member and a female customer, who was withdrawing money from an ATM.
Both complied and the offender placed the cash into a bag before fleeing west on Gower Street.
No one was injured during the armed robbery.
The offender was wearing black clothing, a black balaclava and black sunglasses.
