Three men described as being of Aboriginal appearance with their t-shirts pulled up over their faces and one allegedly armed with a screwdriver, threatened the staff member at the BWS liquor store on Main North Road, Gepps Cross last night.

Witnesses saw the men enter the store at about 11.50pm and between them stole cash, cigarettes and liquor.

They fled on foot west on Preston Street.

One offender wore a white t-shirt, brown ¾ shorts and sneakers.

Another had a black t-shirt, black tracksuit pants and red/black and white sneakers.

The third had on a black shiny jacket, possibly leather with a grey hood and black and white sneakers.

And a robbery at the Liquorland store at Port Adelaide yesterday ended with the arrest of man at the scene.

At about 11.40am, the man threatened staff with a pointed piece of wood.

He walked into the cool room and stole a quantity of liquor which he placed into a shopping trolley.

He then left the store and staff activated an alarm.

Police were quickly on scene and found the man a short distance from the store in possession of the weapon and the liquor.

A 46-year-old man from Port Adelaide was arrested and charged with Aggravated Robbery and Theft.

Enquiries revealed he had been to the liquor store earlier in the day and stole a bottle of port which was not reported to police.

The man was refused bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday
