Police have arrested two people overnight following an aggravated robbery at a Coles Express in Klemzig.
At about 2.25am, police were called to the service station after reports a van rammed into the front glass doors causing extensive damage.
It will be alleged the two occupants from the van ran into the store and loaded up the vehicle with cartons of cigarettes before driving off.
Thankfully no one was injured.
After a search of the area, police found the van in the driveway of a home on Boucaut Street at Klemzig.
As police arrived, a man and woman suspected of having committed the robbery were seen in the rear yard of the home and ran off.
With the assistance of Dog Operations, a 48-year-old woman from Nailsworth was located hiding in the rear yard of a nearby home.
She was arrested and charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass, theft, illegal use of a motor vehicle and property damage. She was refused police bail and will appear in the Holden Hill Magistrates Court later today.
The man seen running off has not been located but police are following several positive leads as to his identity.
A 56-year-old man from Klemzig was also arrested for receiving stolen goods after it will be alleged he was assisting the pair unload the stolen cigarettes at his home address on Boucaut Street.
The van used in the robbery was reported stolen after a break-in at a home in Thebarton on 17 February 2013.
The damage caused to the shop front is estimated to be over $10,000.
