Two men have been arrested following the alleged armed robberies of a liquor store in Clayfield and a fast food outlet in Virginia yesterday.

Around 3.05pm two men entered a Junction Road bottle shop. One of the men allegedly threatened to stab the male attendant and made demands for cash.

The men fled on foot with liquor and a sum of cash.

Around 6.15pm two men entered a Toombul Road fast food store before one of the men allegedly threatened the female attendant with a hypodermic needle filled with red fluid.

The men fled on foot with a sum of cash.

Two men, a 22-year-old and a 23-year-old, have been charged with two counts each of armed robbery in company.

They are due to appear before the Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning.
