Regional Investigations Unit detectives have charged a woman in relation to two incidents at the same pharmacy in North Fremantle which occurred on Sunday 10 March 2013 and Monday 11 March 2013.

About 8:30am on Sunday a woman entered the pharmacy on Stirling Highway, North Fremantle and presented a prescription for a certain medication. While processing the order it was established the woman was no longer entitled to the medication, and when informed of that she took the medication and ran from the pharmacy. About 2:55pm yesterday afternoon the same woman entered the same pharmacy and walked directly behind the counter and threatened the Pharmacist with a knife, demanding the same medication. The Pharmacist complied with the demands and handed over an amount of medication.

Officers from Fremantle Detectives located the person of interest, and arrested her and handed her over to the Regional Investigations Unit for further investigation. It will be alleged the accused was responsible for both of the incidents above. A 30 year old woman from Alfred Cove has been charged with one count each of Stealing and Armed Robbery, and will appear in the Fremantle Magistrates Court today, Tuesday 12 March 2013.
