Police are investigating the armed robbery of a liquor store at Abbotsford last night.
At 5:40pm, Sunday 17 March 2013, a 24-year-old man was working in the liquor store on Great North Road when three males entered the premises.
The males, who had their faces covered and were armed with a hunting knife and a golf club, threatened the man and demanded access to the safe.
They stole an amount of cash from the register before leaving the store and fleeing in a grey Mercedes Benz.
A witness managed to obtain the vehicle’s registration before contacting police.
Officers from Burwood Local Area Command attended the store and established a crime scene which was examined by the Forensic Armed Robbery Unit.
Detectives are now investigating the robbery and are looking for the 2008 model grey Mercedes Benz with NSW’s registration BHK-68-F.
