A woman has been arrested during a botched armed robbery in Sydney’s west this morning.

About 12.25am, Wednesday 20 March 2013, a woman entered a convenience store on Leabons Lane, Seven Hills, where she allegedly threatened a staff member with a screwdriver and demanded money.

It is alleged the woman assaulted the employee and a struggle ensued.

Police were called to the location and the woman was arrested.

A 25-year-old male employee suffered a minor wound to his stomach and arm. He was treated at the scene.

The 37-year-old woman was taken to Blacktown Police Station where she is assisting police with their inquiries.
