Police have reported a man for a string of fraud offences.
The 70-year-old man was reported for 53 counts of theft, four counts of passing a valueless cheque and a single count of deception. Police will allege that the man, from Adelaide’s inner northern suburbs, rorted more than $70,000 from clients of his travel business.
Police believe the offending, which started mid last year, involved taking money from clients and using the money for purposes contrary to the clients instructions.
Detectives from Eastern Adelaide CIB raided the man’s northern suburbs business last month in a search for document relating to the offences.
