24 March 2013 – Armed Robbery – Supermarket – Algester

Police are investigating the armed robbery of an Algester supermarket yesterday afternoon.
Around 2.15pm, a man entered the Spurwood Street business, threatened a male staff member with a knife and made demands for cash.
The staff member complied and the man fled the scene on foot. He was last seen running toward Ridgewood Road.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, around 180cm tall with a slim build.
He was wearing a black hooded jumper, jeans and sunglasses.
