Police have charged a man and woman after an investigation into a robbery of a business in Sydney’s south-west.

About 9am on Monday 1 April 2013, a man and woman entered a business in Fairfield Heights and allegedly threatened an employee before stealing products from the store.

They were seen fleeing in a red Subaru Impreza.

About 6.45am on Wednesday 3 April 2013, officers executed a search warrant at a home in Urana Place, Villawood, where they spoke to the owner of the Subaru, which was later seized.

They then executed a second warrant at a home in Mandarin Street, Fairfield East, where they arrested a 31-year-old woman.

She was charged with robbery in company and appeared in Fairfield Local Court on Thursday 5 April 2013, where she was granted conditional bail to re-appear in Campbelltown Local Court on Wednesday 10 April 2013.

Following subsequent inquiries, police executed another search warrant at a home in Lals Parade, Villawood, about 11.20am yesterday (Friday 5 April 2013).

They seized clothing, prescription drugs and drug paraphernalia.

About 5.30pm, a 31-year-old man was arrested and charged with robbery in company, armed robbery and malicious wounding.

Investigators will allege that as well as the robbery in Fairfield Heights, the 31-year-old assaulted a man in his home in Villawood on 24 March, where the hands of the man were cut with a razor.

He sustained serious injuries which required surgery.

The 31-year-old also allegedly robbed a man on Tuesday 2 April at Villawood and threatened him with a razor, before fleeing with an amount of cash.

He was refused bail to appear in Parramatta Bail Court today (Saturday 6 April 2013).
