Police are investigating the armed robbery of a fast-food outlet in Sydney’s west.
About 8.50am today (Saturday 6 April 2013), a 17-year-old female staff member was standing behind the Victoria Road, Ermington, restaurant when she was approached by man with a knife.
The man forced the teenager inside, ordering her and a 20-year-old male employee to kneel in the kitchen area.
The offender took an amount of cash from a safe before demanding a 21-year-old male staff member hand over his car keys.
After shutting all three employees in the cool room, the man left in the 21-year-old’s car.
The staff members alerted police. No-one was hurt during the incident.
Police from Rosehill Local Area Command established a crime scene and conducted a search of the area, but the offender could not be located.
They now wish to speak with a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 185cm tall, and with a thin build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black hooded jumper, black pants, white sneakers, and black cotton gloves. His face was partially covered with a black scarf.
Police would also like to hear from anyone with information about the car stolen during the incident. It is a grey Toyota Corolla with NSW registration BHG-02F.
