Police are investigating the armed robbery of a club at Heathcote overnight.

Shortly after 10pm yesterday (Sunday 14 April 2013), two men forced entry into a club on Oliver Street, armed with a firearm and sledgehammer.

They demanded money from the 44-year-old female and 32-year-old male employees.

The men took a large amount of cash before fleeing the premises.

No-one was injured during the incident.

Police from Sutherland Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene, which was examined by the Forensic Armed Robbery Unit.

The first man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 183cm tall with an olive/tanned complexion. He was wearing a black jacket and tracksuit pants.

The second man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 183cm tall with blue eyes. He was also wearing a black jacket and tracksuit pants.
