Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following an armed robbery at a business in Sydney’s west.

About 3.35pm today (Wednesday 17 April 2013) two people entered a business on Day Street, Colyton, and allegedly threatened an employee.

Police have been told one of the pair was armed with a small weapon.

They then fled in a small red Daihatsu sedan, with an amount of cash from the store.

No one was injured during the incident.

St Marys police attended and established a crime scene which was examined by specialist officers.

Investigators are appealing to anyone with information about the incident, or the two people, to contact them.

The first person is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 180cm tall, and wearing a white singlet and shorts.

The second person is described as being of slim build and wearing a grey jumper and grey pants.
