13 April 2013 – Attempted Armed Robbery – Taxi Driver – Elizabeth East

Police are investigating an attempted aggravated robbery at Elizabeth East.

At about 2.10am today, police were called to Holcomb Street, after reports of a man armed with a knife attempting to rob a taxi driver.

He fled the scene empty-handed, and patrols searched the area, but were unable to locate the man.

The male taxi driver was not injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 20s, and was wearing a white jacket and carrying green shopping bags.
