Police are investigating an incident where an 18-year-old woman was robbed of her handbag by a group of females after getting off a bus at O’Halloran Hill yesterday.

At about 4.50pm, the victim got off bus 733 on Serpentine Road, having come from the Marion shopping centre interchange, when she was followed by a group of five or six females who were on the same bus.

The group confronted her and demanded her handbag and phone.

After a short struggle, the suspects took off with the woman’s belongings, last seen running towards Candy Road.

The victim was not injured.

The suspects are described as females of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, all aged between about 15-18 years
