Police have charged two men following the alleged armed robbery of a convenience store at Bundaberg West last night.

It will be alleged a man entered the Bourbong Street store around 8.40pm before threatening an employee with a knife and demanding money from the till.

The staff member complied with the man’s demands and he allegedly stole a sum of cash before fleeing the scene in a vehicle being driven by another man.

A 28-year-old Tirroan man and a 28-year-old Bundaberg man were both charged with one count of armed robbery.

They are due to appear in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court tomorrow.
