Police have charged a man and a woman overnight in relation to the alleged theft of money from a food store at Burleigh Heads on Monday April 15.
It is alleged a couple entered the West Street business with the woman distracting staff while the man allegedly stole money from an office safe.
A 33-year-old man and a 30-year old woman both from Inala have each been charged with enter premises and steal, burglary, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and stealing offences.
Both are due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court this morning.
