Police are investigating after the armed robbery of a Scarness convenience store yesterday.

Around 8.45pm, a man entered the Charlton Esplanade store allegedly armed with knife and making demands for cash. The man grabbed money from the till and goods before fleeing on foot.

A 27-year-old male attendant was not physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, about 170cm tall, with a fair complexion and with a slim build. He was wearing a white hooded jumper and his face was covered with cloth.

Police investigations are continuing.
