23 April 2013 – Glassing – Hotel – Katoomba

A man has been charged following an alleged glassing incident at a hotel in Katoomba on the weekend.

About 11.30pm on Saturday 20 April 2013, a 27-year-old man became involved in an argument with another man at a hotel on Station Street.

During the argument the man allegedly smashed a schooner glass and assaulted the 27-year-old with the glass.

He attended Blue Mountains Hospital where he received treatment for lacerations to his face and arm.

About 2pm today (Tuesday 23 April 2013), police from Blue Mountains Local Area Command attended a house at Katoomba and arrested a 20-year-old man.

He was taken to Katoomba Police Station and charged with reckless wounding and affray.

The man was given strict bail conditions to appear at Katoomba Local Court on 20 May 2013.
