Police are investigating an armed robbery at a licensed premises in Pascoe Vale on Saturday.
Police were called to the premises on Cumberland Road after a man threatened the attendant with a tomahawk just before 2pm on 20 April.
The offender entered the store, selected a product and placed it on the counter before removing the tomahawk from his clothing.
The offender walked around to the other side of the counter and opened the register, removing the cash.
The offender then left the store and fled on foot in an unknown direction.
There were no injuries to the employee and there were no customers in the store at the time of the incident.
The man is perceived as being of Pacific Island/Maori appearance with dark coloured skin, medium build, about 170cm tall with long straight black hair tied up in a pony tail.
He was wearing a fluorescent yellow and green work jacket, dark coloured pants and light coloured work boots.
