Police have charged two boys over four armed robberies in Sydney’s east last night.

It will be alleged that between 7pm and 9pm yesterday (Saturday 27 April), four armed street robberies were carried out in the Kingsford area.

On each occasion the victims were threatened with knives. Money was stolen on two occasions.

Police from Eastern Beaches Local Area Command were alerted to the incidents and during a patrol of the area spotted two boys in a laneway.

Officers arrested the pair following a short foot chase. Police recovered two knives which were allegedly thrown away during the chase.

The boys, aged 13 and 14, have been charged with three counts of aggravated robbery with an offensive weapon and one count of attempted aggravated robbery with an offensive weapon.

Both have been refused bail and will appear at Parramatta Children’s Court today.
