Police are appealing for information after an armed robbery in Sydney’s west.
About 8.15pm yesterday (Sunday 28 April 2013), a man entered a sandwich store on Dunmore Street, Wentworthville, and threatened two female staff members with a firearm.
The staff members retreated to the rear of the store before the offender began removing money from the till.
He then left the scene via the front door. The staff members were uninjured.
Police from Holroyd Local Area Command attended and set up a crime scene.
The man is described as tall, of a slim build, wearing a black hooded jumper, a black face mask, black track pants, black gloves, white joggers, and carrying a green mesh style bag. He was armed with a small black handgun.
Police are appealing for any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police to come forward and speak to investigators.
