Warwick Detectives arrested a 30 year old Mullaloo man last night, after an extensive investigation into a number of aggravated burglary and robbery offences that occurred throughout the metropolitan area.It will be alleged police intercepted the man driving a rental car on the Tonkin Highway Noranda, about 1:50am this morning. A 25 year old Craigie woman was a passenger in the vehicle. As a result of several searches relating to these incidents, police located a knife and a sawn off shotgun that they believe were used in several of these incidents. The man will appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today charged with:-

  • Four counts of Aggravated Assault with Intent to Harm;
  • Three counts of Act with Intent to Cause Grievous Bodily Harm;
  • Two counts of Aggravated Burglary with Intent;
  • One count each of Aggravated Armed Robbery, Unlawful Wounding, Unlawful
  • Possession of a Firearm, Reckless Driving Fail to Stop and No Authority to Drive.

A 25 year old Yokine man, also alleged to be involved in one of these incidents, will reappear in the Joondalup Magistrates Court on 3 May 2013 charged with:-

  • Four counts of Aggravated Assault with Intent to Rob and one count of Aggravated
  • Burglary with Intent.

A 25 year old Craigie woman will be summonsed for the offences of Possess a Prohibited Drug and No Authority to Drive.
