Police are investigating the armed robbery of a hotel at Marsden in the early hours of this morning.
Around 12.30am a man entered the Pauline Street premises approaching a bar area and making demands for money from two employees.
An undisclosed amount of money was handed over to the offender who left the scene.
During the robbery one of the employees observed the offender was carrying a green handled hammer.
No one was injured during the incident.
The offender is described as wearing a large black coloured baggy jacket and dark coloured pants with a cream coloured material covering his face.
