Detectives have released CCTV images of two people who may be able to assist with the investigation into a robbery in the state’s west last month.

About 7.35pm on Sunday 7 April 2013, a staff-member at a golf club on Ploughmans Lane in Orange was closing up for the night when he was confronted by two men, one of whom was armed with a long-barrelled firearm.

The armed man forced the staff-member – a 49-year-old man from Orange – to lie on the floor, before the pair stole an amount of cash from the club’s safe.

After taking money from the safe, he and his accomplice left the property.

Police were called to the scene and attended to the staff member who was shaken though not physically injured.

An investigation into the robbery is now underway and police are encouraging anyone with information, no matter how seemingly insignificant, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. To date, police have gathered a large amount of information, some of which leads them to believe a third man may have been involved in the robbery

Police would like to interview the two people in the CCTV images.  The first person depicted in the images is described as being male, of Caucasian appearance, about 183cm tall and of thin build. He is shown wearing dark clothing and has dark cloth covering his face.

The second man shown in the images is wearing a white hooded jumper and grey pants.
