ACT Policing is investigating an aggravated robbery which occurred in Melba in the early hours of this morning (Saturday, September 14).
About 1.30am, a white Hyundai Excel approached the front of the 7/11 store and a man exited the vehicle. He then kicked and forced his way into the store.
Upon seeing this, a staff member sought refuge in a staff room at the back of the store before the offender attempted to unsuccessfully force his way into the room.
The offender then climbed the counter and took a small sum of cash. A second offender then entered the store to assist the man before they both fled.
The first offender was wearing a grey hooded jumper, black tracksuit pants, and a black bandana to cover his face.
The second male was wearing a grey hooded jumper, dark Adidas tracksuit pants and concealed his face.
ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery which occurred in Fyshwick early this morning (Thursday, September 12).
Around 1.24am a man entered the 7 eleven service station on Canberra Avenue Fyshwick. At the time the staff member was outside the service station, checking fuel levels.
The man was carrying a kitchen knife and walked to a check out, gaining entry to the area and removing a small amount of cash. The employee was threatened as the offender left the store, but was unharmed.
A white Mitsubishi Triton suspected of being used in the offence was located and seized by police from the Reid CIT car park, after a description of the vehicle was disseminated to police patrols.

The staff member complied, with the offenders fleeing on foot in the direction Giralang Primary School.
About 1.35am this morning the Calwell Woolworths service station was robbed in similar circumstances. On this occasion the offenders stole cigarettes and a mobile phone. They fled on foot toward Calwell Tavern.
AFP Forensic Services have analysed both crime scenes. Nobody was injured in either incident.
Regional Investigations Unit detectives have charged a man in relation to a robbery at a bank in Murdoch yesterday morning, and an aggravated armed robbery in Warnbro yesterday afternoon, Monday 2 September 2013. About 10:25am a man entered the bank located on South Street, and demanded cash from a staff member. The staff member complied with the demands and the man left with an amount of cash.
About 2:30pm police officers responding to an emergency where it was established a woman had been assaulted by a person known to her stole her mobile phone. It will be alleged the woman was threatened with a knife, and received a stab wound to her shoulder A person of interest to both investigations was located at the Kwinana Train Station about 6:10pm and was taken into custody.

A 36 year old man from Murdoch has been charged with Robbery and Aggravated Armed Robbery. He was refused bail and will appear in the Fremantle Magistrates Court today

ACT Policing has arrested a 15 year-old Latham boy after an early morning robbery in Melba today (Thursday, 22 August).
About 5.35am, three offenders entered the 7-11 service station on Chinner Crescent, armed with a knife. They threatened the attendant and demanded cash.
The staff member complied, with a sum of cash being stolen from the cash register. The offenders left the store in a blue Ford Falcon. Police searched the area and located the vehicle, which has been seized for analysis. One of the offenders was observed running on foot. He was arrested, and conveyed to the ACT Watch House. He will face court later this morning charged with aggravated robbery.
Investigations are continuing to identify the remaining two offenders.

About 4.30am a man entered the 7-11 store on Clarey Crescent Spence armed with a large kitchen knife.
He threatened staff, demanding cash and cigarettes. The staff member complied, giving the offender a sum of cash and a quantity of cigarettes. The offender fled on foot. Police attended and searched the surrounding area but were unable to locate the offender. Police will analyse CCTV footage of the incident.
The man was described as being of African descent and about 6’0” (183cm) tall. He was wearing a black jacket, grey pants and black gloves.
ACT Policing is investigating an aggravated robbery which occurred at the Yarralumla shops this morning (Thursday, August 15).
Around 6.30am a man wearing a balaclava entered the Beess & Co cafe and threatened staff members with a weapon.
He tied up the three staff members and took a sum of cash.
He left through the back door of the premises and ran towards Novar St.
The offender is described as Caucasian in appearance, slim build approximately 6’ (183cm) tall and aged in his 30s. He was wearing dark clothing, light coloured sneakers and a balaclava.
ACT Policing is investigating two north side ram raids which occurred last night (Sunday 21 July).
About 10.30pm thieves reversed a car into the United Petrol Station in Amaroo in what is believed to be an unsuccessful attempt to steal an ATM.
Then at about 11.40pm police were notified by the security of Yowani Country Club of damage to the front entrance of the club. CCTV footage showed a dark coloured station wagon reverse several times into the front doors. A person then briefly approach the ATM, turned and got back in the car and drove away.
ACT Policing has arrested a 21-year-old man of no fixed abode in relation to an aggravated robbery in Holt on Saturday (July 13).
About 11am the alleged offender entered the IGA store in Holt armed with a knife. He threatened staff, demanding cash and cigarettes.
The staff member complied, handing over a sum of cash and cigarettes. The man was seen leaving the area in a white Holden Commodore.
A forensic examination of the crime scene was conducted. About 3.15am this morning (Wednesday, 17 July) members of ACT Policing conducted a vehicle stop on the man. He was subsequently arrested and conveyed to the ACT Watch House. He has been charged with Aggravated Robbery and will face ACT Magistrates Court this morning. Police will oppose bail.
