Crimes Related to Jewellery Stores

Police are investigating a robbery at an Ingle Farm jewellers this afternoon.

Police were called to the jewellery store in the Ingle Farm Shopping Centre at 4pm on Tuesday 11 December after a man threatened staff and made off with jewellery and cash.  The suspect, dressed in dark clothing, hoodie and sunglasses, was last seen running towards Kylie Crescent.

Fortunately, no staff were physically injured during the robbery.

Crime scene investigators attended and examined the scene.

Police are investigating a theft at a northern suburbs jewellers this afternoon.

About 4.45pm on Sunday 2 December, a man used a hammer to smash a glass display cabinet at a jewellery store at Hollywood Plaza and stole several gold chains.

No staff or customers were confronted during the theft.

The suspect is described as aged in his late 20s, of Caucasian appearance, about 160 cm tall, slim build, with dark hair, light brown/blonde facial hair and possibly has a tattoo on his left cheek.

Northern District Police are investigating.

Police are investigating a robbery at a jewellery store in Maribyrnong last week.

It is believed a male offender attended the Rosamond Road store about 2.30pm on 17 October.

He jumped the counter, smashed a display cabinet and scooped jewellery into a bag.

The man pushed a female staff member on his way out of the store and fled in a white 1997 Honda Accord with more than $100,000 worth of items.

The car has since been recovered.

The 82-year-old victim was taken to hospital for observation.

Maribyrnong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating and have released CCTV of a man who may be able to assist police with their enquiries.

Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit detectives have released new CCTV footage as the investigation into an armed robbery at a Werribee jewellery store continues.

A man parked a grey Mazda 3 SP23 sedan outside the Heaths Road shopping centre about 5pm on Tuesday 22 May.

The man has entered a jewellery store within the centre, smashed open a display cabinet and stole an amount of jewellery.

A female customer confronted the man and seized the weapon, before throwing it in his direction as he ran from the shop.

The man was last seen driving along Heaths Road in Werribee.

No one was injured during the incident.

Detectives released CCTV footage the day after the armed robbery and followed up a number of leads however have not been able to locate the offender or vehicle.

Footage of the vehicle police would like to locate and a man they would like to speak to has been released.

The man is described as being of medium build, with a fair complexion and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a dark-coloured jacket and trousers, with grey or white sports shoes.

Police have charged a teenager following an alleged armed robbery at a jewellery store in Mill Park last year.

The alleged incident occurred at a McDonalds Rd shopping centre on 14 March 2017.

A 17-year-old male from Koo Wee Rup was arrested yesterday (12 June) in Dandenong.

He was charged with armed robbery and has been bailed to appear at a children’s court at a later date.

Three others were charged and processed last year in relation to the alleged incident:

A 25-year-old Stawell woman charged with handle stolen goods;

A 27-year-old Stawell man charged with armed robbery; and

A 29-year-old Greensborough man charged with armed robbery.

The investigation remains ongoing and police are still looking for two other males.

A man has been charged following an aggravated robbery at the Unley Shopping Centre earlier this week.

Police will allege at about 4.20pm on Tuesday (29 May), the man threatened a woman and punched her in the face before taking her car.  The victim was shaken by the incident, but not seriously injured.

The woman’s car was found abandoned yesterday at an Unley Park street.

Meanwhile police investigating the robbery of a store in the Adelaide CBD yesterday located and arrested a 26-year-old man.

He was charged with the robbery of the jewellery store and has since been further charged with the aggravated robbery at Unley. He has been refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.

A man has been arrested in Adelaide following a robbery at a city jewellers this morning.

About 9.30am, Wednesday 30 May, a man entered a Regent Arcade jewellery store allegedly armed with a hammer and a replica firearm. The man smashed several display cases with the hammer and stole an amount of jewellery before running out of the door. The suspect was last seen running south through the Regent Arcade towards Grenfell Street. Thankfully there are no reported of injuries.

Just after 2.20pm this afternoon following investigations officers from Eastern Adelaide CIB attended an address on Halifax Street. A man ran from the address and after a short foot chase Detectives arrested a 26-year-old man on nearby Hutt Street.

The arrested man has been charged with aggravated robbery and property damage, and refused bail to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.

A Findon man will face court today after he was arrested over a jewellery store robbery last weekend.

Police will allege just before 1pm on Sunday 29 April, the man allegedly robbed a jewellery store at Arndale Shopping Centre, smashing a window and threatening a security guard.

The arrested man has also been charged in connection with home invasion at Prospect where the residents were threatened by a man armed with a firearm at about 10.30am the same day.

Detectives from the Serious and Organised Crime Branch arrested the 43-year-old man last night.

He was charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated serious criminal trespass, aggravated assault and several counts of theft.

The arrested man has been refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.

A man wearing a balaclava and armed with a firearm, hammer and meat cleaver entered the jewellery store in the Arndale Shopping Centre about 12.45pm on Sunday 29 April.  He smashed the display cases with a hammer before running out of the doors on the western side.

Police have charged a man following an armed robbery at a jewellery store in Chatswood in December last year.

About 10am (Friday 15 December 2017), police were called to Albert Street following reports a man had thrown a sledgehammer at a store’s window.

He stole jewellery and fled in a dark-coloured vehicle on Claude Street.

No one was injured.

Police from North Shore Local Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

About 8am today (Thursday 25 January 2018) investigators arrested a man in Newport and executed a search warrant at a nearby home. The officers seized several items for forensic analysis.

The 40-year-old man was conveyed to Manly Police Station and later charged with aggravated break enter & steal, attempt dispose of stolen property, dispose stolen property (x 2) and furnish false information (x 2).

The man was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court on Friday 26 January 2018.
