A man will face court after he allegedly stole two bottles of alcohol and assaulted staff at a Somerton Park bottle shop yesterday afternoon.

Just after 4.30pm on Saturday 9 February, a man entered a  bottle shop on Oaklands Road and allegedly stole two bottles of liquor.  When challenged by the shop staff he threw one of the bottles at a staff member, a scuffled then ensued before the suspect ran off with the remaining bottle.

Police patrols were called to the scene and after checking shop security cameras, Detectives attended a nearby home at Somerton Park with a search warrant locating the suspect and the bottle of alcohol.

A 20-year-old  man from Western Australia  was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday.

There were no serious injuries from the incident.

A man has been arrested with the assistance of an off duty police officer and a member of the public following a robbery at West Lakes last night.

It will be alleged just before 11pm, Friday 1 February, a man armed with a machete threatened staff at a bottle shop on Bartley Terrace before walking behind the counter and stealing cash.

The victim received a minor injury during the incident, thankfully the injury did not require medical treatment.

As the suspect fled the bottle shop, he stole a woman’s handbag that was on the ground next to her.

The off duty police officer and the member of the public chased the suspect into the car park and detained him until patrols arrived.

Officers searched the man and he was found in possession of the stolen cash, and the stolen handbag was located close by.

An 18-year-old man from Largs Bay was charged with aggravated robbery and theft. He has been refused police bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrate Court on Monday.

A man will face court after he allegedly robbed a delivery driver and a attempted to rob a fast food outlet in the city overnight.

Just on 1am on Thursday 31 January, a man armed with a large bread knife has threatened a delivery driver inside a  fast food restaurant on West Terrace, stealing the bag of food he was carrying.

The suspect has then threatened the staff at the restaurant and attempted to open the cash drawer at the counter, but he was unsuccessful and left just with the bag of food from the delivery driver.

Police patrols quickly converged on the area setting up cordons and searching for the suspect.

A man fitting the description of the offender from CCTV cameras at the restaurant was located on North Terrace, without the food and knife.

A further search nearby located the knife and the bag of food which was strewn on the ground uneaten.

A 24-year-old man from Elizabeth Vale was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated robbery, police bail has been refused and he will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.

No person was injured in the incident.

Police have released images of the alleged suspect wanted in relation to a chemist robbery at Para Hills this morning.

About 9.20am today Saturday 26 January, a man entered the store on Bridge Road and handed staff a note allegedly stating that he had a weapon, and that he wanted medication.

No weapon was seen, and no one was injured.

The suspect then left the store with an amount of medication, and was last seen walking south towards Kimba Road.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, facial hair, wearing a distinctive black baseball cap with a face on the front, yellow hi-vis jumper and blue pants.

Police are investigating an aggravated robbery in the CBD this morning.

Just after 5am on Sunday 13 January, three men armed with a sledge hammer and an axe entered a licensed premises in Pulteney Street and threatened staff before stealing an amount of cash.

The trio were last seen getting into a waiting silver Holden sedan being driven by a fourth man. The car drove off heading south on Pulteney Street.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

One suspect is described as 180cm tall, heavy build, about 130kg and dark complexion. He was wearing black pants, a dark grey hooded top and black sneakers.

A second suspect is described as 177cm tall, about 80kg with dark complexion. He was wearing a light grey hooded top, black pants and white shoes.

A third suspect is described as 172cm tall, about 80kg with dark complexion. He was wearing black pants and a black hooded top.

All three suspects had their faces covered.

Northern District police are seeking information from the public after a service station was robbed last night at Salisbury.

Just after 10.30pm on Thursday 10 January, a man entered a service station on the Salisbury Highway and threatened the female console operator with a syringe before leaving with a small amount of cash. No one was physically injured.

The suspect who left on foot, is described as being a man of Aboriginal appearance, aged in his late 20’s, with short hair and carrying a backpack.

Police patrols searched the area including a police dog patrol, but the suspect wasn’t located.

An Elizabeth East man will appear in court today following an alleged armed robbery at Elizabeth Downs tavern last night.

Just after 9pm on Thursday 10 January, patrols were called to a hotel on Midway Road, after a man armed with a machete threatened staff in the bottle-shop and left with an amount of cash from the till. Thankfully no one was physically injured.

Patrols quickly converged on the area and located the suspect a short time later nearby on Seatown Road and identified from the CCTV security vision from the tavern.

The 37-year-old man has been arrested and charged with aggravated robbery he was refused police bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court later today.

Police are investigating an aggravated robbery at an Elizabeth East supermarket a short time ago.

Just after 9pm on Sunday 6 January, a man wearing a balaclava entered the supermarket on Midway Road, Elizabeth East armed with a small knife and stole cash from the till.

Fortunately, no staff were injured during the robbery.

Police and Police Dog Ruger are searching the area for the suspect, who left on foot.

He is described as about 170 cm tall and wearing a high-vis shirt.
