A woman has been charged after an ice-cream store was robbed in Aspley this evening.

At 6.20pm, a woman entered the store on Gympie Road and police will allege that she produced a knife and made demands for cash.

Staff have complied and handed her a sum of cash before she fled the scene on foot.

No one was physically injured as a result of the robbery.

Patrolling police located a woman in Carseldine a short time later and took her into custody.

A 28-year-old Chermside woman has been charged with one count of armed robbery and is due to appear in the Pine Rivers Magistrate Court tomorrow.

Casey Crime Investigation Unit detectives have today released images of three men that they believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries into an armed robbery and assault in Hallam last month.

Investigators have been told three men were walking from Hallam Train Station towards the Hallam Valley Trail about 1.30am on 9 March.

The men were then approached by three unknown males who asked the victims for a lighter before assaulting one of the victims.

The offenders then set upon the rest of the group and stole a mobile phone.

The three victims, two 18-year-old men from Hampton Park and a 19-year-old man from Berwick were taken to hospital with injuries.

The three offending men are described as Islander in appearance and were all wearing dark clothing.

A 24 year old female from East Devonport has today been charged with a number of matters including aggravated armed robbery, all relating to an incident at Fingal in the early hours of the morning of Tuesday 26th March 2019.

She will appear in an out of hours court at Launceston at 10am on Saturday the 30th of March.

This brings to a total of three females charged with this matter.

wo men have been charged after residents at a motel reported suspicious and threatening behaviour on the state’s Far North Coast.

About 8:30pm on Sunday 31 March 2019, emergency services were called to a motel on Bangalow Road, Byron Bay, after reports two men were threatening residents with a firearm.

When police arrived the two men fled on foot.

After a short foot pursuit, a 33-year-old man was arrested and taken to Byron Bay Police Station.


Following inquiries, a green Holden Commodore station wagon with Queensland registration was found close to the hotel with police finding a number of stolen items and a cigarette slighter shaped like a firearm inside.

The Queensland man was charged with goods suspected stolen in/on premises, receive etc property stolen outside NSW (x2), drive motor vehicle while licence suspended, use class A vehicle with unauthorised number plate affixed, stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (x2) and affray.

He appeared in Tweed Heads Local court yesterday (Monday 1 April 2019) where bail was refused to reappear in the same court Monday 13 May 2019.

A short time later a 23-year-old man from Queensland was arrested in Jonson Street, Byron Bay and was taken to Byron Bay Police Station where he was charged with stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (x2), and possess prohibited drug (x2).

The 23 year old man appeared in Tweed Heads Local court yesterday (Monday 1 April 2019) where bail was refused to reappear in the same court Monday 13 May 2019.

Police will allege in court the men used the car in a number of fail to pay incidents in Queensland and NSW.

Around 9.45pm a man entered the Telemon Street business and demanded money from the employees.

They complied, and the man put the cash into a plastic bag before fleeing on foot out the back of the store towards Helen Street.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as being Caucasian, aged in his 20s, approximately 175cm tall with a slim build wearing dark clothing including a black beanie, black jeans, black gloves and multi-coloured bandanna.

Police have charged a man following an armed robbery in Nundah this afternoon.

Officers were called to a hairdressing salon on Sandgate Road at 1.40pm after a man entered the business and produced a knife.

He demanded money and pushed a female employee into a shelf before stealing a sum of cash from the till and a mobile phone. He then fled the scene.

Woman did not require medical treatment at the scene.

A 46-year-old East Brisbane man was charged with armed robber and obstructing police.

He will appear in Brisbane Magistrate Court tomorrow.

Police continue to search for a man after an armed holdup at a business on the Central Coast overnight.

About 10pm (Sunday 31 March 2019), two male employees were preparing to close a food business in Wyee Road at Wyee.

A man entered the store armed with a shortened firearm and threatened the men, demanding money.

The contents of three cash registers were handed over to the man, along with a quantity of cigarettes.

The man left the premises on a motorcycle making good his escape.

Officers from Lake Macquarie Police District were called and established a crime scene.

Investigators believe that a man described as wearing a crash helmet, long sleeved black hoodie, dark long pants, and black gloves may be able to assist with their inquiries into the matter.

The man carried a sports bag, shortened firearm and rode a motorcycle that is not further described.

Police have urged anyone with information about the armed robbery to come forward.

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a store in Regents Park last night.

Around 7.30pm, a man entered the Emerald Drive business armed with a knife and demanded the 54-year-old male attendant lie on the ground.

The man then jumped the counter and removed money from the cash register and took goods.

He ran from the scene, across Emerald Park and into Emerald Park bushland.

He is described as 160-170cm tall, wearing a black hoodie and black jeans.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

Investigations are continuing.

Police are appealing for information after an attempted armed robbery at Taree last night.

Around 11pm (Monday 11 March 2019), a 46-year-old female employee was inside a business at Chatham, when two men entered the building.

The men demanded cash from the female employee; however, she refused and they fled empty-handed.

Officers from Manning Great Lakes Police District attended and patrolled the area, without success.

Both men are described as being between 180-185 centimetres tall. Both men were wearing long sleeved jumpers with hats or hoods and wearing gloves.

The men were last seen running towards Milligan Street, Chatham.

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Police are investigating after a man entered a Wynnum West store yesterday afternoon and threaten a staff member with a knife.

Around 2.45pm a man entered the Sibley Street business and located a cash tin behind the counter. When the male staff member approached the man, he produced a small knife and threatened him.

The man then left the store with a sum on cash.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as being 35-years-old, 185cm tall, olive complexion, dark coloured eyes, hairy arms, with tattoos on one arm, unshaven and wearing black baseball cap, dark green t-shirt, dark coloured shorts, white socks and a small black back pack.
