Margaret River Detectives are calling for the public’s assistance in their investigation into an attempted armed robbery at the Wallcliffe House Bottle Shop last night, Wednesday 6 June, 2012.
About 8.53pm, a man entered the store (also known as the Knights Inn), located on Wallcliffe Road brandishing a knife, the man threatened staff members with the weapon before they managed to lock themselves in a rear storeroom.
The offender stole bottles of liquor before leaving the store.
The man is described as mid to late twenties, slim build, approximately 180cm tall and had light coloured eyes. He was wearing a black hooded-jumper, dark coloured jeans and a black balaclava.
Regional Investigations Unit detectives have charged a man in relation to an armed robbery on a supermarket in Cannington on Sunday 4 March 2012.
About 8:00pm on the Sunday a man entered the store on Cecil Avenue armed with a handgun and demanded money from a staff member. The staff member complied and the man left with an amount of money.
Yesterday detectives executed a search warrant on a residence in Hawkstone Street, Cottesloe and arrested a man in relation to the incident. A number of items of interest were seized at the residence, including a replica firearm.
A 34 year old man from Cottesloehas been charged with Armed Robbery and will appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today, Thursday 7 June 2012.
Detectives from the Regional Investigations Unit are calling for the public’s assistance in their investigation into two armed robberies believed to be linked in April this year.
The first incident occurred about 9.30pm on Tuesday 3 April, 2012 where a masked man entered Greg’s Discount Chemist on Fitzgerald Street in North Perth.
The man armed with a knife, approached two female staff members and demanded cash. A male pharmacist came to the aid of the women and handed over a quantity of money to the offender. He ran from the store and was last seen on Ethel Street.
The second incident occurred about 8.10am on Tuesday 10 April, 2012 where a man entered a pharmacy on Albany Highway Bentley, brandishing a knife and threatening staff for cash.
He stole a quantity of money before running from the store.
The man is described as having a fair complexion, in his late 20’s/early 30s, approximately 175cm tall and of medium build.
He was dressed in dark jeans, a dark jumper with two white stripes down the sleeves and yellow stripes across the elbows; and a black balaclava.
South West Detectives have charged a man in relation to an armed robbery in Collie on Sunday 20 May 2012.
About 5:40pm a man entered a deli on View Street, Collie and it will be alleged he threatened a 16 year old staff member with a syringe, demanding cash.
The offender left the store with an amount of cash.
Detectives and forensic officers attended the scene and started an investigation into the incident.
Detectives today arrested a 25 year old man from Collie, and he has been charged with one count of Armed Robbery. He is due to appear in the Bunbury Magistrates Court on Tuesday 29 May 2012.

A male staff member challenged the offender who responded by brandishing the bottle, threatening the victim.

He is described as fair skinned, between 20 and 30 years of age, short brown hair and a goatee beard. He was wearing a black Harley Davidson t-shirt.

Police are seeking public assistance following the assault of a store manager during a robbery in Beechboro on Saturday 5 May 2012.
At about 4pm, three men entered the Altone Liquor store located on Altone Rd and took bottles of spirits from the shelves.
Keeping the bottles, the men split up and fled the store leaving via two separate store exits. The store manager chased and
caught one of the offenders. A scuffle occurred and the offender smashed a bottle of spirits over the manager’s head.
The manager fell to the ground and the three offenders fled on foot through the car park, heading south towards Hull Way.
The 37 year old store manager is currently in hospital.
The offenders are described as being in their 20’s, dark skinned and of medium build. One offender was wearing a black hooded
jumper and a dark coloured baseball cap. The second offender was wearing a dark coloured hooded sweatshirt with Nike written
on the front in white letters. The third offender was wearing a dark coloured t-shirt with a red logo including the words
American Muscle. He was also wearing a baseball cap with a light coloured brim.
Police are seeking public assistance following two armed incidents that occurred in West Perth during March and April which are believed to have been committed by the same man. Friday 30th March at about 8:30pm a 19 year old woman was walking along Ord Street when she was approached by a man. The man demanded money and lifted his shirt to show her what appeared to be a hand gun tucked into the waistband of his trousers. He then directed her to walk to a nearby alley where he sexually assaulted her.
The second incident took place at about 4:15pm on Sunday 29 April. A 26 year old woman was walking along Colin Street towards Kings ParkRd when she was confronted by a man who lifted his jumper to reveal what appeared to be a hand gun tucked into the waistband of his
trousers. The woman threw her handbag at him and ran away. The man was seen leaving the area on a motorcycle parked in Emerald
Terrace. The woman’s Gucci handbag containing personal items including her mobile phone is missing. The offender is described as between 35 to 45 years of age, fair skinned, approximately 175 to 185cms tall and of medium build. During the first incident he was wearing a pair of grey knee length shorts, a dark hooded jumper and a baseball cap.
During the second incident he was wearing a pair of grey knee length shorts, a grey hooded jumper, baseball cap and sunglasses. On both occasions he carried a black backpack.
Mirrabooka Detectives are calling for information regarding an attempted armed robbery on an elderly man in Mirrabooka on
Saturday 25 February, 2012. Between 3.00am and 3.15am, the 78 year old victim withdrew cash from the Commonwealth ATM outside the Mirrabooka Shopping Centre on Yirrigan Drive. As the victim turned to walk to his car, he was approached by a man who threatened him, claiming he had a firearm. The victim did not see a weapon however the offender continued to threaten him saying it was a hold up. The victim removed his mobile phone from his belt when a second offender who was standing nearby, knocked it from his hand and onto the ground.
The victim then managed to push past the offenders and get into his car.
Investigators would like to speak to the men pictured who they believe can assist with their inquiries. The first man is described as dark skinned, approximately 30 years of age, between 185 and 190cm tall and short dark hair.
He was wearing a red chequered shirt.
The second man is described as dark skinned, in his mid-twenties, between 170 and 175cm tall and short dark hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt with “Save me from my life” written on the back.
Kalgoorlie Detectives are calling for information regarding an armed robbery at Chicken Treat in Boulder last night (Tuesday 24 April,
2012). About 8.15pm, a man armed with a knife entered the fast food store located on the corner of Lane and Moran Street. He approached the counter and threatened staff with the weapon before stealing a quantity of cash.
The man is described as olive skinned, approximately 180cm tall and of stocky build. He wore black three-quarter pants, grey hooded jumper, purple t-shirt with white writing and black thongs.
