Police are currently seeking information in relation to a burglary that occurred over night on June 5 from a Lester Street business in Bundaberg.

Information suggests that some time during the evening, unknown offenders have entered the business and removed a seven-tonne engine with an alternator attached that was transported away on a tilt-tray truck.

The offenders have then left the business, and it is believed that the truck would have been struggling with the weight of the engine.

A truck similar to the offending vehicle was seen travelling south on the Bruce Highway at Gympie shortly after 7.45 on the morning of June 6.
