Crime Gangs Task Force have arrested three men in relation to a violent brawl between members and associates of the Hells Angels and Finks bikie gangs that occurred at the City nightclub in Hindley Street on 29 May 2011. This brings the total of those charged with aggravated riot to 19.
Twelve men were initially charged following a coordinated series of raids on 3 June 2011.
A 34-year-old member of the Hells Angels motorcycle gang and a 34-year-old associate of the gang were both arrested today and charged with aggravated riot.
Extraterritorial warrants were granted to Crime Gangs Task Force members who travelled to Queensland to conduct further searches with Queensland Task Force Hydra members.
A 41-year-old Queensland member of the Finks motorcycle gang will be extradited to South Australia later today and will face charges of aggravated riot and aggravated affray. He will be jointly charged with the other arrested men.
Detective Inspector Steve Taylor from Crime Gangs Task Force said, “We have an excellent working relationship with all of our interstate equivalents in our coordinated efforts to combat bikie related crime. I have no doubt that we will arrest further offenders in relation to this investigation.”
