A 30-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after he was arrested by police trying to leave the country.
The charge relates to a shooting in the Nicholson Street mall in Footscray on May 31 where a 24-year-old Collingwood man received serious injuries.
The Footscray man will appear at the Melbourne Magistrates Court today.
