Police are presently investigating an armed robbery at a shop on Bundock Street, North Ward this morning.

At approximately 10.45 a man entered the premises and demanded an undisclosed amount of cash from a female employee. He was armed with a knife.

No-one was physically injured during the incident.

The offender is described as Caucasian, of a medium build, over 183cm tall, wearing a black baseball cap, dark sunglasses, a distinctive black long-sleeved hooded jacked with a zip and a large white eagle on the front, brown knee-length cargo shorts and dark joggers.

He entered and left the premises through the Bundock Street entrance, and left on foot in the direction of the airport.

Police are seeking assistance from members of the public who may have seen the man in the area.

Investigations are continuing.
