Three teenagers have been arrested after money and handbags were allegedly stolen from a café in Sydney’s east yesterday (Sunday 3 July).
Police were patrolling the Kingsford area as part of the high-visibility Operation Sabre when they were called to a café on Anzac Parade after money and handbags were allegedly stolen from an employee-only area about 3.45pm.
Extensive patrols were made and three teenagers were found at Kensington Oval 15 minutes later.
Police will allege they recovered cash and two handbags.
A 14-year-old boy and two 15-year-old boys were arrested and taken to Maroubra Police Station.
They have since been released into the custody of their parents and two are expected to be issued with official cautions.
Inquiries into the third youth are continuing.
