July 18, 2011 – Glassing – Licenced Venue – Cairns

Police have charged a man following an incident at a licenced venue in Cairns last night.

It will be alleged he threw a glass that struck the victim in the face around 8pm.

The 21-year-old received serious injuries to his face and eye and was taken to Cairns Base Hospital for treatment.

The 26-year-old Cooktown man has been charged with one count of grievous bodily harm and has been held in custody to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court today.
