Police are appealing to the public for information following an alleged armed robbery in Malabar.

About 11.30am today (Monday 18 June 2011), two men entered a licensed club on Ireton Street and allegedly threatened staff with firearms.

The men obtained an amount of cash before driving from the scene in a silver motor vehicle.

No shots were fired during the incident and no one was injured. Police were contacted and attended a short time later and a search for the alleged offenders is being conducted.

Police are now searching for two men who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

At the time the men were wearing black balaclavas.

The men may be driving a silver Audi s5 coupe bearing stolen New South Wales registration plates BLE66F.
