Police are investigating an incident where a man was robbed of his personal belongings at Thebarton on Sunday.

At about 11pm, the 29-year-old man was walking along Holland Street when two men approached him unexpectedly, pushed him into a wall and stole his mobile and wallet.

The victim was not injured but was caught by surprise as he was wearing headphones with music at full volume unable to hear anyone approaching.

One of the suspects is described as Aboriginal appearance with olive skin, 175cm with a skinny build.

The other is approximately 165cm tall, with a medium build and curly black hair wearing a dark cap.
