Police are seeking information from the public after a man was assaulted and robbed at Aberfoyle Park this morning.

Just before 5am, the man was sleeping in his car at the Aberfoyle Park Shopping Centre, when he was woken by two men armed with a hammer and metal spike.

The two suspects assaulted the man and then stole his wallet containing cash.

The suspects are described as Caucasian men, aged between 25- 30 years, one wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans, the other a black hooded top and track pants.

They fled in a white sedan possibly a 1990’s VN or VR Commodore.

The 33-year-old victim was treated at the Flinders Medical Centre for minor injuries.
