Police are appealing for public assistance following the armed robbery of a chemist in Enmore today.
About 11.30am (Thursday 18 August 2011), a 27-year-old man was working at the chemist on Enmore Road when he was approached by a man armed with a knife.
The armed man forced the 27-year-old behind the counter and demanded money from the till before escaping with a sum of cash.
Police were notified and officers from Newtown Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.
Police are following a number of lines of inquiry, however are also appealing for public assistance.
The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged about 30 years, with a shaved head and a large red scar covering the right side of his face.
