Police are investigating the robbery of two men along The Esplanade at Surfers Paradise this morning.

Around 12.20am, the two men were seated on a park bench when they were approached by two males who demanded property from them while claiming to have a knife.

The men have then fled the scene on foot with cash and other property belonging to the pair.

One man is described as 180cm tall, thinly built and of an olive complexion with short black hair. He was wearing a dark coloured hooded jumper and dark pants at the time.

The second man is described as of Caucasian appearance, 170cm tall and proportionately built with short dark hair. He was wearing a brown coloured long sleeve shirt, jeans, black shoes, and white socks.

Investigations are continuing.
