Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery at an Expansion Drive business that occurred early this morning.

Around 12:40am, two men have approached the business and had an argument with the owner.

One man has produced a knife and demanded money.

The owner has not complied, and was struck in the face by one of the men.

Both men have then fled the scene on foot.

Whilst fleeing, one of the men has broken the window of a car that was parked outside.

The business owner was treated at the scene for injuries to her face.

No one else was injured as a result of this incident.

The two men are described as being Caucasian in appearance, in their mid 30’s and of medium build.

Police investigations are continuing.
